Betsy O'Malley is an Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapist who
has been practicing Physical Therapy for 20 years. In 2005 Betsy
began her study of STOTT Pilates. She believes Pilates is for
anyBODY and is the key to functional longevity and physical
balance. She is a STOTT certified Mat, reformer, cadillac, chair
and barrels instructor.
Rochelle Black is a STOTT certified instructor in both Mat and
Reformer. She is also a MODO certified Yoga certified
instructor. Rochelle is a retired professional dance who now
teaches all genres and levels of dance.
Rochelle's love for Ballet blossomed while training at the
National Ballet of Canada. Dance has taken Rochell all over
the world, on cruise ships, North American tours, television shows
With over 18 years of teaching experience, Rochelle loves
sharing her passion for movement and helping others cultivate a
strong mind-body connection
Dr. Dawn Earnesty is a registered dietitian and completed her
Bachelor of Science from Michigan State University in dietetics,
Master of Science and combined dietetic internship from Eastern
Illinois University and PhD at Michigan State University in Human
Nutrition. Dawn has over 12 years of experience teaching adults and
youth nutrition education focused on the consumption of vegetables,
fruit and protein-rich foods and beverages. She is certified in
adult weight management and holds a nutrition education
specialization. Dawn has a true passion for educating people on
“how to feel more vibrant and energized” with healthy eating and
Heather Zahn graduated from CMU with a B.S. in Sports Medicine
and minors in exercise science and nutrition in 2000. Heather has
also been certified as an Exercise Physiologist through the
American College of Sports Medicine since 2003. Although Heather
practiced as a licensed Athletic Trainer for 15 years, her true
passion has always been wellness, predominantly focusing on
exercise and nutrition.
In Heather’s 17 years of
personal training and teaching fitness classes, her focus on proper
form and functional exercise has alway been a staple. Heather has
taught a wide variety of classes such as, P90X, Indoor Cycling,
Cardio Kickboxing, HIIT, Core, Kettlebell, Senior Exercise, Ballet
Fit, recreational dance and gymnastics.
Heather is our newest STOTT Pilates apprentice. She plans to
attend Reformer training this summer and Mat training in the fall.
Heather appreciates that STOTT Pilates intertwines mindfulness and
body awareness throughout all of their exercises. Heather is
excited to begin her journey with the solid, scientifically based
practice of Stott Pilates.
Heather is currently enjoying her position as an adjunct
professor with Delta College in the Health & Wellness Division.
When she is not busy preparing workout routines or class lectures,
you’ll find Heather at home with her 3 wonderful children and
Heather is already beginning her observation hours which is the
first step to becoming a STOTT Pilates instructor. She will begin
at Balanced Pilates when we reopen teaching Functional
Strengthening classes and Motr classes. She will begin teaching
STOTT mat, Barre and Reformer as she attends her certification
classes. We can’t wait for Heather to join us. We know you will
love her kind spirit, appreciate her dedication to wellness and
will benefit from her impressive knowledge base!
